Summer Sales Bite #7: Five ideas for turning a one-time customer into a repeat customer

June 23, 2024 Posted by Olivia Brown

Last week’s Summer Sales Bite covered how to encourage customers to make their first purchase through a series of “Welcome!” emails. Once you have overcome this initial hurdle, it’s crucial to implement strategies to keep them coming back. See below for a few ideas on how to do so!

5 ideas for gaining repeat customers

1️⃣ Offer promo codes on subsequent orders: Offering incentives like discounts and free delivery for the first few orders can encourage customers to continue placing orders beyond their initial purchase.

2️⃣ Include free merchandise or samples: Adding free items, such as a branded tote bag or a sample of honey, can make customers feel special and valued, increasing their likelihood of returning.

3️⃣ Setup recurring orders: Enable recurring orders & subscriptions so customers can opt into their favorite products or a farm share.

4️⃣ Send order reminders: Sending reminders through text and email helps keep your brand top-of-mind for customers and encourage repeat purchases.

5️⃣ Encourage feedback: Requesting feedback (via text, email, or phone call) immediately after an order is received provides valuable insights into your processes and strengthens the relationship with your customers.
