Summer Sales Bite #5: Expand your product list by partnering with other farms or food hubs

June 23, 2024 Posted by Sophia Bennett

By partnering with other local food businesses, you provide customers with a convenient “one-stop shopping experience.” In turn, this increases the average order size and fosters loyal relationships with your community.

3 reasons to introduce items from other local food businesses:

☀️Add product categories that you don’t currently grow or have supply – including flowers, bread, coffee, and jams & spreads.

☀️Extend your season – By partnering with food hubs or farms in adjacent regions, you may be able to offer strawberries sooner or extend the cherry season longer.

☀️Increase supply – If your farm or hub doesn’t have enough supply to fulfill consistent orders from a local school, adding supply can sometimes help fill production gaps.

LFM makes it easy to manage partnerships with other local food businesses!
