In 2016, the High Country Food Hub was founded by the Blue Ridge Women in Agriculture in Boone, North Carolina with just one freezer. Now in their fourth year, the High Country Food Hub serves over 500 customers across 3 states while supporting 90+ local food producers. High Country Food Hub implemented LFM in 2017 to provide avenues for fresh food sales without competing with long-standing community farmers markets in their region.
