Scheduled Pick-Up Times with Order Limits
Over the last year, curbside order pick-up has increased exponentially with LFM customers, but with it comes its own set of issues. We have all been there: you place your order for a designated time slot, arrive on time, but due to an influx of orders, you’re forced to wait ten, twenty, even thirty minutes or more to receive your order. Not only does an improperly managed pick-up schedule aggravate your customers, but it can also have a negative effect on your sales and the success of your online store as a whole.
An important motto in business is: make it easy for your customers to keep being your customers. Our new scheduled pick-up times feature with order limits allows you to setup a manageable and profitable order pick-up system. You can now schedule different time slots for order pick-up at your pick-up locations, and you can even limit the number of orders per time slot.
Not only does a mismanaged order pick-up system affect your customers, it also draws heavily on your staffing and other resources. Many of our LFM customers can now establish staffing at specific times and locations when necessary, reducing the expenses for unnecessary staffing or redundant processes. Tips
Tipping is an impactful way for customers to support your business aside from purchasing your products. Throughout the pandemic we were seeing increasing support for providing gratuities to delivery drivers, volunteers, and other team members of our farm, food hub, and market customers. We knew this would be a tremendous feature to add to our platform, and now it is live and available!
Our new Tipping feature allows customers to add a tip to their order during order confirmation, which is also visible on invoices and reports. Convenient, easy, and a simple way for your customers to further connect with and support your business.
There are even more benefits to your business with accepting customer tips. Using this added income, you could support donations to organizations, provide extra pay to your delivery drivers, and even offer a “Pay It Forward” program to provide free food for those in need.
