Marketing Coordinator
Hours: Full time (approx. 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.)
Reports to: CEO
Location: Preference given to candidates in Eugene, Oregon

Local Food Marketplace plays a pivotal role for the local food community and is widely considered the market leader in this space. We have a reputation for strong customer service and it is critical that all team members approach their work at LFM such that customer’s experience this ethos when reacting with us or in content that we produce. Because we serve a seasonal business, you should expect some variability in the pace, type of work, and tasks throughout the year. The late winter and spring are typically the most demanding parts of the year in conferences and timely marketing projects. Summer and early fall are a great time to focus on content for the coming season, or to improve systems and processes. Success in this role requires a high level of attention to detail as well as strong conceptual understanding of the key job tasks.
The Marketing Coordinator works with the CEO and Director of Sales and Customer Success to help develop the marketing strategy and create a marketing plan. Most of the execution of the marketing plan is coordinated and executed by the marketing coordinator. Major content items, along with the overall schedule will be managed in Asana so that all members can see what tasks are required and what support is needed.
The position spans various disciplines of marketing. The disciplines below are in relative order of importance:
- Email marketing (using CRM)
- Content development, including blog posts and downloadable materials
- Presentations (slide decks and material prep)
- Website updates (WordPress) and SEO (Semrush)
- CRM maintenance, ensuring that contact and activity data is captured fully and accurately.
- Webinars (slide decks, Zoom setup, and marketing)
- Metrics (tracking key metrics for reporting)
- Social media maintenance
- Paid search and advertisements
- Tradeshow prep (booth design, merchandise. etc.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Marketing and Communications (90%)
- Create, manage, and execute marketing schedule with input from sales and product teams.
- Develop and distribute content for email marketing, social media, website, and ads.
- Requires interviewing customers and other stakeholders.
- Actively scan the horizon (in meetings, on social media, etc.) for customer quotes, stories, and content.
- Create content for webinars and other presentations (for conferences, customer webinars, etc.).
- Reach out to partner organizations to encourage/request that they share key marketing materials.
- Analyze results of marketing campaigns and content pieces to continually refine and improve effectiveness of future efforts.
- Maintain company social media accounts (Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn). Use social media to engage existing customers, potential customers, and industry partners.
- Set up and maintain ads on Meta, Google, etc., working with outside consultants as needed. Evaluate ad results.
- Maintain and develop content on our corporate website. Work with outside consultants for any complex coding or updates as needed.
- Present monthly marketing reports on key metrics: pipeline report, marketing analytics, website analytics, webinars, campaigns, and ads.
- Maintain and organize content on shared folders and systems for easy retrieval.
- Maintain SOPs of key processes and tasks.
Database Marketing (10%)
- Maintain an accurate customer and prospect database.
- Understand & document the various ways contacts get added to the database.
- Work across entire LFM team to ensure understanding of how their activities contribute to the database so that it is accurate and complete.
- Understand & document marketing automations.
- Analyze the automations in place and make adjustments as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Love local food! Our ideal candidate will have some experience working at a food hub, farm, farmers market, or similar organization.
- Have experience with email marketing and digital marketing, ideally for a B2B company.
- Have experience with CRMs and similar marketing platforms.

Sales Specialist
Hours: Full time by January 2025 or sooner for the right candidate. Minimum 24 hours/week (3 days per week) to start.
Reports to: Director of Sales and Customer Success
Location: Preference given to candidates in Eugene, Oregon
Compensation: Salary (based on full time) of $52,000 – $60,000 based on experience + commission. LFM pays hourly for most positions, so all overtime is paid accordingly. Please see details above for information on benefits.
Initially, the primary goal for this position is to enable the sales team to increase sales through lead generation and qualifying potential customers for a demonstration. As the position grows to full time, the Sales Specialist will also develop product and customer knowledge to conduct one-on-one consultations and technical demonstrations with customers and prospective customers via phone calls and Zoom, and be responsible for the remaining tasks described in this job posting. The right candidate should have relevant sales experience in prior roles.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
Sales (80-90%)
- Assist with responding to incoming leads, resulting in consultation calls being scheduled.
- Follow-up on inbound leads from webinars, demo requests, conferences, etc. and qualify them for a consultation and/or demo.
- Follow-up with highly engaged prospects and qualify them for a consult/demo.
- Conduct outbound sales for qualified prospects looking for technology.
- Monitor groups on social media groups and introduce LFM as appropriate.
- Send introductory emails, proactively reaching out to prospective customers searching for technology.
- Provide consultations and software demonstrations for prospects and customers as directed by Director of Sales and Customer Success.
- Assist with preparing and executing webinars for customers and prospects as directed by Director of Sales and Customer Success.
- Assist with webinar and presentation slide decks as needed
- Maintain accurate data in CRM platform for marketing and sales purposes (meeting notes, emails, contact information, business information and needs).
- Perform market research and populate CRM database with potential leads.
- Assist with processing incoming leads, resulting in consultation calls being scheduled.
- Maintain booth presence and conduct sessions at regional conferences (up to 3-4 conferences per year)
Marketing Support (10-20%)
- Provide backup support for marketing coordinator.
- Learn and manage CRM.
- Send marketing emails as directed.
- Assist with creating and managing marketing lists in CRM.
- Assist with brainstorming, creating, and implementing marketing automations.
- Develop and suggest strategies (e.g. partnerships, marketing campaigns, etc.) to increase market share and adoption of LFM platform
QUALIFICATIONS

OTHER SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND REQUIREMENTS
- High level of written & verbal communications skills.
- Technical skills include: Advanced skills in Excel and spreadsheet programs.
- Work may be performed remotely.
- Position requires occasional overtime and weekends, as needed.
- Position may require some travel – to our headquarters or to represent LFM at conferences and tradeshows. Travel expenses within guidelines will be reimbursed.
